You can change or delete an expense if you created it or if you are the person who paid. Other members can comment on it or raise a dispute instead, see Dispute an expense you disagree with.

Edit an expense

  1. Open the expense from the Expenses tab, from a group or from an activity entry.
  2. Tap Edit in the header. The Edit Expense form opens.
  3. Change the amount, description, payer, category, split, date, currency, receipt or location.
  4. Tap Save Changes.

Shortcut: on the Expenses tab, swipe the expense to the left and tap Edit.

If you leave the form with unsaved changes the app asks Discard Changes? with Keep Editing or Discard.

Copy an expense

Swipe the expense to the left and tap Copy. A new expense form opens with the same description, amount, category and split, with you as the payer and today's date. Useful for a weekly shop or a shared taxi.

Delete an expense

  1. Open the expense and tap Edit, then Delete. You can also swipe the expense to the left and tap Delete.
  2. Confirm. The app warns: Are you sure you want to delete this expense? This action cannot be undone.

Balances are recalculated immediately. Comments and disputes on the expense are removed with it.
